Fecal Matters: Swimming Advisory Has Been Lifted for Port Ludlow Bay, Jefferson County, WA

BEACH Program Update

On July1, 2014, Jefferson County Public Health lifted the no contact advisory for Port Ludlow Bay.  Swimming and primary contact recreation are now permitted.

Contact with fecal contaminated waters can result in gastroenteritis, skin rashes, upper respiratory infections, and other illnesses. Children and the elderly may be more vulnerable to waterborne illnesses.
